On 15 October 2026 STA Jets said it had signed a definitive agreement to acquire International Jet. The buyer is based at John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana, with operations in Van Nuys, San Jose, New York and Fort Lauderdale. International Jet sits at Centennial Airport, south of Denver, and is the longest-tenured company on that field.

Corporate Jet Investor carried the same deal on 16 October. International Jet was founded in 1979 in Long Beach and moved to Denver the next year. In 1980 it became the first charter Learjet operator at Centennial. It now runs charter, aircraft management and aircraft sales under an FAA Part 135 certificate, with a private passenger terminal and a fleet that runs from turboprops to large-cabin jets.

Kurt Belcher, founder of STA Jets, said the firm is committed to preserving what makes International Jet exceptional while adding the scale, resources and reach of the STA network. The Colorado operator's maintenance programme holds the industry Diamond Award of Excellence. Over 25 years it has flown more than 10,000 medical transports.

GlobalAir noted that the announcement did not give a price or a closing date. Aircraft under management, charter contracts and live sales files do not move on the day a release goes out. A certificate change is usually staged. Crews stay on their present aircraft until the operator says otherwise. Owners who keep a jet at Centennial will want, in writing, whether the management agreement, the crew pairing and the hangar arrangement survive the close.

The sales desk needs the same answers. International Jet sells aircraft as well as flying them. Buyers and sellers with an open file should ask who holds the mandate after closing, and whether the same people still work that file. Charter desks that have used the Centennial terminal for Rocky Mountain lift should confirm that the Part 135 certificate remains in force while the deal completes.

STA Jets already offers executive charter, management, and sales and acquisitions. This is a network adding a long-held airport position rather than building one. If managed owners leave after closing, STA Jets will have a new base and fewer aircraft than the announcement implies.

Goodall Aviation arranges ACMI and wet lease capacity for private business jets from London and Marbella, with a satellite office in Las Vegas. We do not fly aircraft. We will watch how the Centennial certificate and the managed aircraft are handled after closing. That is the point at which hours on the line actually change. Details are on the contact page.
